Product Description

Sodium Metabisulphite (SMBS)

is mainly used as reduction agent. Furthermore, it is ideal for the bleaching of vegetable fibers and textile, for the production of solutions, which are used in the developing of photos and films as well as for the treatment of tanning agents in dyeing of textiles. Industrial Uses
Water Treatment	Eliminating dissolved oxygen in waste water and in pipes; Cleaning water pipes and reverse osmosis membranes in desalinization equipment as it is an antibacterial. It is used in water treatment plants to remove excess chlorine.
Bleaching Agent	It functions as a bleaching agent, which is useful in making paper pulp, cotton and wool.

 

Food Preservative
Antimicrobial	It is commonly used as a food preservative for dried foods, as well as fruit concentrate juices. It acts as an antimicrobial, inhibiting the growth of fungi and bacteria, thereby keeping food fresh and safe.
	In beer and wine manufacturing, it is used as both a sterilizer and an antioxidant in the process of brewing beer or fermenting wine.

 

Other Uses
Medicinal	It is an antioxidant additive in inject able medicines and is also used as a reducing agent in pharmaceuticals.
Photographic and film industry	For preparing developer solutions, for acidifying fixing baths(photo grade).
Landscape Gardening	It used in landscape gardening as a tree stump remover, as it disintegrates the lignin -- chemicals in plant cell walls -- in the tree stumps, making them easier to remove.
Fiber Industry	In the sulphitisation of tanning extract.

1.  How Do You Control Your Quality?
 
We maintain good quality control by following these procedures below:
 
(1) ChoiceChem Only Uses High-Purity Raw Material
 
A. By using 99.8% pure imported S, the high-purity S allows for the generation of very high-purity SO₂. This is further used to create a much better high-purity Sodium Metabisulphite than what is usually available in the market. 
 
Please note that ChoiceChem's Sodium Metabisulphite's purity is commonly measured above 98%, which is substantially higher than the regular Chinese national standard of 96%.
 
B. ChoiceChem uses a high-purity Soda Ash which has an alkali content of more than 99.2% and NaCl content of less than 0.97%.
 
This way, our high-purity Soda Ash helps us to produce higher purity Sodium Metabisulphite, and can also avoid impurities like Cl and Iron, which allows our products to better meet pulp industrial requirements.
 
 
(2) Strict Factory Inspection System
 
All our products are tested every 2 hours, and sub-standard products are allowed to leave the factory.
 
We also carry out third-party tests every 3 days to ensure that our in-house tests are properly calibrated and accurate. 
 
(3). Strict Package and Loading System
 
ChoiceChem only uses high-quality packages, and we always pack the cargo after it has cooled off totally to avoid expansion caused by SO2.
 
The cargo can be loaded directly in our factory, whole the loading process can be inspected by our in-house supervisors.
 
2.  What Is Your Delivery Time?
 
(1) Our delivery time is regularly updated according to the level of orders every day.
 
(2) Our current output is 300MT daily. This allows most cargo orders to be delivered within 7 to 10 days usually.
If it is China, where Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine (CIQ) inspection of cargo is needed, an extra 1 week will be required for applying and accepting CIQ inspection.
 
If you need an OEM package, colorful package, or need to engrave (for printing), we will need around 5 to 7 days for this.
 
Also, printing bags need around 1 to 3 days, and domestic transportation will require around 3 to 5 days, so an extra 2 weeks will be needed.
 
For the black color marks package and to engrave (for printing), we will need around 1 to 2 days for this. Printing bags need around 1 to 3 days, and domestic transportation for this will also require around 3 to 5 days, so an extra 7 to 10 days will be needed;
